Become Church was birthed out of a season of prayer in May 2005 out of the home of Pastor Howard and Tecla Sanders with only each other and four children out of their home at the time, and a passion and desire to see the name of Christ made famous and launched publically in 2008.

Since this time, the church has worshipped in 4 other different locations, and has steadily and solidly grown to encompass 150 individuals.  Since the public launch of Become on Easter of 2008, with a core of 10 committed families; Howard and Tecla are now the Senior Pastor and First Lady of a vibrant and dynamic church in the Kennesaw area of Atlanta called Become Church.

They have seen Gods hand move in a mighty way. Due to their strong ministry in healing and deliverance, through yielding to the working of the Holy Spirit; along with their apostolic and prophetic expression of God's Word, the church has been dynamic and authentic in seeing inward life transformation of families along with its growth since its inception. Within a year, of it's initial launch the church has seen itself double in size.  They are unashamed of boldly leading others in powerful worship and becoming avid students of the Word!

Ignited with this vision that since its inception, this story is just beginning!  Gods favor is evident, people are moving forward in their journey, and lives are being changed!  Our mission is that people would truly BECOME all that God is calling them to be through an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ.  2 Corinthians 5:17 states,  "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have BECOME new."

This mission is being fulfilled as many are choosing to move beyond 'doing' church and  actually 'becoming' rooted and grounded in a local thriving body of believers growing in the Word!  Through this encounter, people are experiencing life and life more abundantly, freedom from their past and present, and inheriting God's HOPE for their future....with the best and brightest days ahead of them!
